Hello my lovelies, it's been a while.

I've been inspired by my housemate's iphone 4 and a recent copy of 'Making' magazine and made this little beauty...

I have another plain case that I'm excited to work on next week- I'm thinking of the 'POW!' design or a wishful 'Betty' case in case I am lucky enough to get one someday...hmm dreams.

Ooh, nearly forgot to mention that the wedding I was doing the jewellery for is featured on www.rocknrollbride.com I'm mentioned on the credits page- amazing. :D My aim now is of course to get married, make my own accessories and get them featured again. YAY! I will start work on that project at the weekend. Task number one: find Mr.Thread.

Seasons greetings on this fine December morn,

Things have been quite busy lately...ok, ok, very busy.

After getting the Xmas markets lined up, in and around good ole' Sheffield, I went and got a job down in Devon didn't I? So, alas! I have been running around like a mad 'un finding a house, and buying bowls and mugs...as you do.

So, I've now found a house living with a lass called Katy who runs a craft hotel! How amazing does that sound? I plan on going to pottery and enamelling classes- I will of course keep you updated on whether or not I discover a hidden talent.

S'been a hoot

It makes me sad that my blog doesn't have a post each month- GUTTED! I will make up for this with my creative December exploits in Okehampton. Handmade Xmas presents anyone? Can i get a 'hell yeah!'? No, really..can I? That's more like it.

Self Indulgence

Greetings! It's been a while.

I've been job applying, phone cover sewing, dancing, working and avoiding a dissertation so I've not had too much to enthrall you with... apart from of course, the phone cover, which is a surprise, so alas! I cannot divulge.

I've been working on a few head/hair piece ideas, wanting to play on the idea of summer with a hippy vibe- (Flowers in her hair- lalala). Made and kept (sshhhh) a headband and hairclip. I want to get some proper 'snappy' clips and some plastic headbands for the ones I'm going to sell. Here's the headband...[APPLAUSE]

Also made a knuckle duster, one helluva lovely knuckle duster might I add. I made it to put on Folksy but then got a little snip happy with the scissors, repaired it and then kept it. I'm a perfectionist, I cannot sell something I'm not 100% happy with. I want to keep my happy customers! :D

A few things I'm excited about and will be blogging about soon:

I'm designing and making the accessories for a wedding! - Bridesmaids dresses are charcoal and the accent colours for my designs are blue, purple, pink and yellow. :D

I'm organising a handmade market in Chesterfield in conjunction with Chesterfield's Arts Festival.

I might might might be taking part in a crafty take over of Site Gallery- Watch this space.

I'm making mint choc chip cupcakes tomorrow- What? That is exciting!!!

Hello Lovelies,

Just thought that I would update you on my latest endeavours.

I've started some new earring and ring designs and upped the flower ante to create a five flower panel design.

I'm dithering about keeping this one!

I love this picture, so here's the new necklace again.

I have an order for a bright pink and lilac three flower necklace that I can't wait to get started on. Going to pop into Arcade Crafts tomorrow and buy the thread I need.

I'm also going to FINALLY do some hairpieces, can't wait to wear them out in the summer...I'm thinking headbands, slides and bobbles to wrap around a super stylish top knot. :) Switt swoon.

First craft fair delights and frights!

Good Bank Holiday Eve!

Today I've been at my first craft fair at the Showroom Workstation in Sheffield. I have been far too stressed about getting enough done as I'm working 6 days a week at the mo (not for much longer dear lovers). I still wasn't entirely satisfied with my stock levels OR my (lack of) craft fairy visual merchandising tools. Due to lack of funds I had to resort to the trusty fruit bowl and shoe boxes. Alas! Next time I will be super loaded and the possessor of a few necklace stands and cute little shelves like my fellow crafters.

Got to say that the highlight of my day came from Patisserie Lola: http://www.patisserielola.com/ a faaabulous baker who must have made a cool million-exaggeration- from sales today. Not surprising as their stall looked ace and they're Italian Chocolate Torte had my dear friend making noises that made us a little uncomfortable...

I opted for the Chai tea cupcake with cinnamon sugar, whilst my ma and step-pa opted for a lemon cupcake and a Dime bar cupcake. I'm hoping to bump into the Lola ladies again soon!

Really enjoyed meeting new, like minded people today, lovely to have that kind of support and the contacts of course!

My favourite outcome of today: Site Gallery are considering stocking an exclusive range in their shop, based on the 'Pow!' Brooch, which I am VERY excited about and looking forward to developing. My time to experiment is back now my first fair is over, so keep a look out for new designs. I will keep you posted.

I have been busy being stuck in my own head the past few weeks, I'm not sure what I've been doing with my time but I can be assured that it was neither wild nor interesting as my party dresses are still hanging in my wardrobe freshly washed.

It's my dear friends birthday on Wednesday and from a conversation over a glass of wine or two, I managed to weasle out of her (oh so discreetly, I think not) what she might want for a pressie.

Years ago someone bought her a Tatty Devine name necklace which later broke, she said she missed it and so I figured I would try and make her a Betty Thread version... so, here we go...

I ordered some smaller brooch backs the other week and have been busy using them up, designing packs of three different coloured flower brooches. I like the idea that they can be worn together in a bunch or as little gorgeous accents to outfits. Versatility baby!

This week has been a happy week for two of my favourite ladies. I have finished two orders, one for a red pansy brooch, which I must say was so gorgeous I was reluctant to give away, and then one for a red ring and purple brooch.

I want one!

Spring has been on my mind all week this week, I can't wait until it starts getting warmer and we can all start wearing summer dresses again! I've started making a selection of daisy rings, which I think will look perfectly lovely with a 50's style tea dress. I am planning my outfits to go with these babies already!....

I have had a super day today, sewing a pair of blue pansy earrings for my first real customer! All is thanks to one of my lovely lady friends wearing her Betty Thread earrings to work where they were admired by said customer. Oh the joys of 2011, loving it so far!

I have a few ideas that i'm working on at the minute which include a hot air balloon necklace, complete with clouds, broken heart rings, brooches, and diamond rings!!

Over Christmas I was busy working on my flower collection and gave them away as presents to some very lucky ladies...
